Graduation Glory
Graduation for students, who have completed since April 08, was held on Saturday March 7, 2009, at the First Assemblies of God Church, Ocho Rios. Eleven (11) men graduated the program; our Guest Speaker was Pastor Duane Henders, Global representative of Latin America and the Caribbean. It was a great time of celebration for us all. For the first time our men graduated in gowns.
Richard Minott, John Levy, Alanzo Wilson, Paul Wilkerson, Jermaine Williams, Stephen Fernandez, Fredrick Johnson, Peter Campbell, Brian Cox, Carlton Bennett, Gladston Hinds were the 11 students who graduated. Six men of this batch are presently doing their internship with us.
Since our graduation in March Noel Reid, Michael Mahadeo, Anthony Morris, Anthony Marriot have completed the program and will graduate March 2010.
Team Training
Duane Henders and Steve Millazo conducted training in the month of March with our staff and interns, both trainings were great and helped to equip staff and intern to be better able to serve the students, developing better social skills and focusing on conflict resolution. We have been experiencing a better working environment as a result of these trainings.
Duane Henders, representative from Global Teen Challenge and Greg Fisher whose responsibility is to conduct training Globally for Teen Challenge Staff, was at TCJ between June 10-12 for a three day staff training, this is the first time that this particular type of staff training was be done in this Region.
