Mavis is the ‘mother of TCJ’ and the Kitchen Commander. She goes with the furniture here at the Ocho Rios center as she started even before the women’s programme began operating in 2001. Besides cooking, there’s probably more preaching and counseling that goes on in the kitchen than anywhere else in the programme!

Mavis is brilliant at making meals out of almost nothing. Mavis’ primary passion: serving and spending much time in prayer for the lives of the men and women who eat from her kitchen.  Family: married to Basil, 1 son. In her spare time - well, if we could get her out of the kitchen to have spare time - but Basil is helping in that area!
